Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Jason cooked for me all day. He made Abby and I eggs for breakfast and chili for lunch. Then, my parents came over for dinner and Jason made us ribs and corn. Everything was wonderful!!

Boy Friends

Most of Abby's good friends are boys.

Here is a cute pic and video of Abby and Austin:

Abby and Dylan had fun one night playing house:

Pictures Since January

In March we went to the beach with Jason's parents and Mel, Randy, Megan and Chase.

We spent Easter weekend with Jason's family. We relaxed Saturday at his parents house and then ran around all day Sunday (church, Aubrey's birthday party, and then a big family reunion party).

Yesterday's Drama

Abby, Hannah, and I were playing at the park yesterday. One of the games we play at the park is to pick up some of the leaves off of the ground and throw them in the air. Hannah loves this game and jumps super high into the air to try to catch the leaves. We had a bit of bad luck today because when Abby threw up the leaves, Hannah and her had a collision and Abby got hurt. She got a scratch on her face. I was scared that it could have been worse then it was, so I pretty much swept up Abby and Hannah and ran home. I was happy that the scratch wasn't bleeding at all (it was really red but no new blood was coming out). Once we cleaned her up at home we realized it wasn't as bad as I thought it could have been. Abby cried for a few minutes but afterwards she seemed to forget that she was hurt. Now she only remembers that she is hurt when she sees herself in the mirror.

Here is a picture of my poor baby right after we cleaned her up yesterday:

Big Girl Bed

This weekend we took down Abby's crib and moved the guest bed into Abby's room (her first big girl bed). Abby took her first nap on it yesterday and slept in it at night last night. She was a little scared of the dark in her new bed, but after I put a night light in her room she did very well. When she woke up, she played and sang in her bed without trying to get out (as she did in her crib). My baby is becoming a big girl!!

After Abby becomes comfortable with the transition to her new bed, Jason and I are planning to wean her from her pacifier and her evening bottle. In the last few months, Abby has become addicted to her pacifier. She started asking for it any time she was at home. If we didn't have it close by or were going to wait to give it to her until after we finished what we were in the middle of (ex. dinner or changing her clothes), Abby would throw a huge fit. Last week I explained to her that she could only have her paci at night (when the moon is out), she has accepted that, and now she only uses it now for naps and sleeping at night.

We had stopped the night bottle right after Abby turned one; however, last fall/winter season Abby was sick for a week at a time every other week. During that time we let her drink from her bottle so that we could ensure she was getting enough fluids. The night bottle became a habit again and she is not yet ready to give it up. One thing at a time, right? Our goal is to have Abby sleeping in her big girl bed without her paci and with no night bottle by the time she is two in June.

Lub you!

This morning the cutest thing happened!! Abby knew she was about to leave for school, so she said "Bye Bye Daddy! Lub you!" He told her he loved her too and then about 1 minute later she started saying it to him over and over: "Lub you! Lub you daddy! Lub you!" Jason was checking his email and didn't respond right away so she just kept saying it. It was so cute!! This was the first time she has said that she loved either of us without us saying it first.
