Abby talks more and more each day. She is constantly suprising us with how much she understands. I have remembered or written down a few conversations with her that have been really fun/funny to me.
1. This first conversation was in the car, on the way home one day. I had already let her know that Jason was sick at home. This was the first "real" conversation I feel like we have ever had.
Me: "Abby, did you have a good day at school?"
Abby: Nods. "Green nose."
Me: "Did someone tell you that you had a green nose?"
Abby: "Yes."
Me: "Who told you that?"
Abby: "Marta." Marta is one of her teachers.
Me: "Abby, if you have a green nose it means you are sick."
Abby: "Abby, green nose, is sick. Daddy, green nose, is sick"
Me: "Daddy is sick, but he doesn't have a green nose."
Later at home when talking to Jason...
Abby: "Daddy sick, no green nose. Abby sick, green nose."
2. This one was on a different day but was already related to her nose.
Me: "Abby, do you need a tissue?"
Abby: "No Mama, eat buggers."
Yuck!! Who taught her that word??
3. There are a few shows that I let Abby watch with us that are not cartoons or G rated. This makes me realize how much the base on what they learn on TV.
Me: "Abby, do you like the parts in the movie where they are singing?" We were watching the Hannah Montana movie (no making fun of me).
Abby: "American Idol!"
4. We were sitting down to breakfast one morning and Jason was leaving for work.
Me: "Bye Honey!" - to Jason
Abby: "Bye Daddy Honey!"
She calls him Daddy Honey all the time now. ex. "Wake up Daddy Honey!"
