Lots of Firsts

Abby has had a lot of firsts in the last few days:

First Tooth: Abby's bottom right tooth pushed its way through on Wednesday. It appears that she wasn't in pain until right when it happened and she only appeared to hurt for an hour or so.

First Fun Bath: Abby has a little blow up bath tub. We have been using this for a while for bath time and she would pick up the toys in the tub and put them in her mouth but yesterday she found the water. She loves to splash the water out of the tub.

First Face Boo Boo: Abby army crawls all around the floor at her school. One day when I picked her up she had a little red mark by her eye. The women watching her said that she didn't cry when it happened so they hadn't even noticed that she was hurt until they picked her up next. She must have hit her head on the leg of one of the cribs in the room.

First Cracker: For the last few weeks I have been trying to introduce the baby crackers that melt in your mouth to Abby. She has had absolutely no interest in them until yesterday. Yesterday she let me put one in her mouth and although it came back out a few times... she continued to be interested in letting me put it back in. After a few, she now likes them so much she keeps them in her mouth the whole time and "chews" them up.

First Sit Up: Abby cannot get from the laying down position to the sitting up position by herself yet, but with her strong stomach muscles, she can pull herself up if someone holds her legs. She really seems to enjoy it. Sometimes she will do 5 sit ups in a row (with us putting her back in the laying down position).


First Allergy: My whole family is allergic to Penicillin. When Abby was prescribed Ammoxicillin which contains Penicillin, we watched her closely to see if she would have a reaction. It took a few days to show up but she did get an itchy rash all over her chest and back.
