We went to the doctor for Abby's One Month checkup. She received a Hepatitis B shot and was found by the doctor to be growing very well. Abby's one month stats are as follows:
Height: 22 inches (80th percentile)
Weight: 9 pounds 2 ounces (50th percentile)
Head Circumference: 14 1/2 inches (25 percentile)

Swimming at Grandma's House
Abby went swimming for the first time yesterday at Grandma's house. All of her cousins were there and she had a great time in the water. Below are a few pictures and a video of the day.

Waking Up
I love to watch Abby wake up from a nap. First she makes all kinds of cute faces and then she stretches for a few minutes. I took two videos of her waking up today for those of you that are interested.

Friends and Firsts
Abby's Friends
We have been fortunate to continue to have many friends come to visit us. We are so happy to introduce Abby to everyone and to see everyone again (for some it has been too long).
Abby is lucky to have so many friends that are close to her age. Marisa and her daughter Alex and Mei Po and her son Heinrich came to visit the other day. Both are only two months old. The picture on the right is (from left to right) Alex, Heinrich, and Abby.
Another friend of Abby's close to her age is Austin, Rochelle and Jimmy's son. Austin will be in Abby's day care class, which she will start in September. Austin is 6 months older than Abby but they will be in the same class until Kindergarden.
Abby Firsts:
* First errands: went with Kim to get Hannah's hair cut; went to get stamps for the baby announcements; went to Kim's doctor for a follow up doctor's appointment.
* First walk: with Kim, Poppa (Kim's dad), and Hannah for about 25 minutes.
* First time to notice the TV: while playing with Kim on the floor doing neck exercises.
* First time to notice a toy: Nonna played with Abby and a colorful stuffed animal rattle.
* First Babysitters: Aunt Mel while Kim went shopping with Megan for a gift; Nonna and Poppa while Kim and Jason went on their first date since Abby was born.

Fouth of July Weekend
We had a great 4th of July weekend! We took Abby on her first overnight trip to Aunt Mel's house. It was really easy for Jason and I because we had so many family members there to help with Abby. My brother, David, was in town, my parents came over, Jason's parents, Melanie's family all helped a bunch. We had a ton of fun!!

Sunday, Jason and I took Abby for her first night on the town. We went to dinner in Houston with our friends Steven and Angela and their son, Dylan. We had a great time and Abby slept the entire time!!

Mission Impossible
Melanie created a video of the family hanging out in the waiting room while they were waiting to hear of Abby's birth. She was born at 6:33pm, but I think that the family did not hear anything until after 7pm so you can imagine that they were trying to figure out what had happened. Second Week
Abby is two weeks old today. Time is going by so fast! Jason went back to work this week but with all of the visitors, Kim and Abby have been kept busy.
Abby went to her two week visit to the doctor's on Thursday. Thank you Melanie for taking us to the doctor!! Abby had lost 9 ounces while we were at the hospital and on Thursday she had gained most of it back. She weighed 7 lbs and 9 ounces. Almost her birth weight!
Another quick update: Abby has lost all contact with her cord and officially now has a belly button. :)
