Mission Impossible
Melanie created a video of the family hanging out in the waiting room while they were waiting to hear of Abby's birth. She was born at 6:33pm, but I think that the family did not hear anything until after 7pm so you can imagine that they were trying to figure out what had happened. The video is posted on You Tube at the following URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEuYLIhFTwc.

Second Week
Abby is two weeks old today. Time is going by so fast! Jason went back to work this week but with all of the visitors, Kim and Abby have been kept busy.

Abby went to her two week visit to the doctor's on Thursday. Thank you Melanie for taking us to the doctor!! Abby had lost 9 ounces while we were at the hospital and on Thursday she had gained most of it back. She weighed 7 lbs and 9 ounces. Almost her birth weight!
Another quick update: Abby has lost all contact with her cord and officially now has a belly button. :)

Cute First Pictures
The hospital took some cute pictures while we were there and posted them on the web at http://www.our365.com/newbornportraits/babydetail.aspx?birthid=d6ea037d-818f-4dea-908c-9efbb8571250&babyid=38fada51-4329-426e-985d-518b648352eb.
Check them out when you have a chance.

One Week Old
It is hard to believe that Abby is already one week old. This week has been a great adventure.
We left the hospital on Thursday but the hospital pediatrition said that Abby may have a mild case of jaundice so we made a doctor's appointment for Saturday. At that appointment we learned that she was absolutely fine. She is in the 50th percentile for height, weight, and head size. She is just perfect!!! We are going to see the doctor again on Thursday for her first checkup.
Since Saturday we are all trying to get into a routine. We had help from Kim's mom, Judy, the first night Abby was home. We learned a lot from her that would have taken quite a bit of time to learn on our own. Thanks Nonna (Abby's nickname for Judy)!!
I'd also like to thank everyone who has stopped by to visit and to bring food!! We really appreciate you all!
